Introduction to NetStatus
The GCP network has a growing number of Egg-sites, distributed around the world and sending data over the Internet to central servers. To monitor their activity, a report of the current status of the network is automatically generated by the "Basket" program which collects and archives the data.
Some detailed information on the network of Eggs is available, including the names of the people involved, the exact geographical locations and the type of REG used at each site.
Since we want the network to grow larger, and to be broadly distributed around the world, we provide information about hosting an Egg, and access to the software, with details on the basic hardware and operating system requirements for becoming a host.
